Past Event

This year, the International Women’s Day Celebration is about “Girl Power in STEM: Each for Equal!”  The event focuses on accomplishments of women in  Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM), and giving young professionals access to STEM fields.

Lecturers and panelists from academia, government, and private sectors will discuss the impact of women in STEM careers, and what can be done to promote and sustain women’s participation in STEM.

The event includes professional-development talks; panels and presentations; networking sessions; and STEM demonstrations led by experts in the field. Symposium leaders will challenge stereotypes, broaden perceptions, and be agents of change in local communities to promote and sustain women in STEM fields.

The event is free, but seating is limited. Register in advance here.
