What a Combo! Soul Food and the Sounds of Motown

Thursday, February 6, 2020 10:45am - 12:30pm Campus Center Ballroom
Past Event

There have been some great “soul” songs over the years. Sam and Dave sang “Soul Man”; David Bowie sang “Soul Love”; The Doors recorded “Soul Kitchen”; and Bob Marley sang “Soul Rebel.” Now, FSC is serving up some “soul” of its own.

It’s Soul Cafe, a day of soul food and song, to kick off FSC’s celebration of Black History Month. The menu will be full of soul-satisfying, stick-to-your-ribs food, and just as good as the food will be, so will the music. Enjoy dining to the classic sounds of Motown’s greatest artists, including the Temptations, Supremes, and Jackson 5. Aretha Franklin is on the playlist too.

The event is sponsored by the Office of Student Activities and Student Government Association.
