The new 934 area code Campus Times has been telling you about since December is now in use campus-wide, and delivering calls to your phone. It has replaced the 631 area code. All campus phone numbers – including the 794 exchanges – have become 934-420-XXXX.
If you’ve had a 420 exchange, the last four digits of your extension remain the same.
For those with 794 exchanges, the 6 of the four-digit extension has been changed to 5, and the last three digits remain the same.
Those dialing the 631 area code will receive a message explaining the new number, and be directed to dial the last four numbers to be transferred to their destination.
All callers to the old 631 numbers, whether from Nassau, Suffolk, or elsewhere, must now dial 934-420-XXXX to reach you.

Callers to the 631 area code will receive a recorded message that the number has changed. This reminder will continue into the summer months. A limited number of student services main lines (such as Campus Main, Admissions, UPD) will continue with both numbers. All others eventually will be retired.
Please inform your off-campus constituencies, business associates, and family members to use the 934 area code from now on. Reminders will continue on the entrance signs, and via other venues used for messages.
A new business card design has been created reflecting the new 934 area code for the College. Those desiring to update their business cards should click on the link below. The Administration will pay for one order of 250 business cards per individual for orders placed by Friday, 2/14. As a reminder, only employees with a true business need for business cards should submit an order.
