International Education Week Has Something for Everyone

International Education Week is coming, and the Office of International Education and Programs is hosting a series of events beginning Monday, 11/18.

Here is the schedule:

Monday, 11/18
1. Where in the World Is Ram-bo? Trivia Contest
11 a.m. – 1 p.m., Campus Center Lobby
2. Afternoon Reception and Genealogy Presentation,
featuring librarian April Earle
3:30 p.m. – 5 p.m. University Club, Knapp Hall
RSVP to reserve a seat.
3. POP’s Dining: Latin Cuisine

Tuesday, 11/19
1. Open Mic Poetry Readings, hosted by the Multicultural Committee
11 a.m. – noon, Campus Center Lobby
2. POP’s Dining: Asian Cuisine

Wednesday, 11/20
1. Movie Night, hosted by Residence Life
7 p.m., Sinclair Hall
2. POP’s Dining: Indian Cuisine

Thursday, 11/21
1. Global Engagement Talk – Spices Around the World, hosted by TRIO
11 a.m. – noon, Campus Center Ballroom A
2. POP’s Dining: Mediterranean Cuisine

Friday, 11/22
POP’s Dining: Italian Cuisine

Monday – Wednesday, 11/18 -11/ 20
Student Travel Photo Contest, Campus Center Lobby

All Week

  • Food Drive Co-sponsored by Greenley Library
    Drop off non-perishable food items at any of the above events
    All collected food will be donated to Island Harvest.

“International Education Week is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide,” says Agata Knapp, Education Abroad Advisor. “This joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education is part of our efforts to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment, and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences.”
