Lauren Romer Joins the Provost’s Office

Lauren Romer – Associate Registrar and recent winner of a Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Professional Service – has been named Assistant to the Provost, effective July 31. She arrived at FSC in 2013, as Assistant Registrar.

“Over the last six years I’ve learned and grown so much as a result of my experiences in the Registrar’s Office,” Romer said. “I look forward to serving the college on another level, and I hope to bring the professionalism and enthusiasm I’ve exemplified in the Registrar’s Office to this new role.”

Before coming to Farmingdale, Romer served in the registrar’s office at Polytechnic Institute of NYU, in Brooklyn. Here, in addition to her position as Associate Registrar, she has served on the Distance Learning and Commencement committees.
