Bynoe,  Brookhaven Town Councilwoman Valerie Cartright, Nassau County Executive Laura Curran, and Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone is hosting the First Annual Long Island Breast Cancer Forum, at FSC. The event aims to educate the community on the importance of breast cancer awareness and early detection.

On site will be the Stony Brook Cancer Center’s Mobile Mammography Van, to provide free mammograms to those who qualify. President Nader will make opening remarks.

The event is open to the campus community. Pre-registration is required, and you can do so by calling 631-360-3356. You may also do it online.

“I strongly believe in the importance of early detection, and it is imperative that individuals under 40 have access to annual mammograms when deemed medically necessary,” said Senator Martinez.
