Praise for H. Carl McCall as He Steps Down as SUNY Board Chairman

The praise was effusive for outgoing Chairman of the State University of New York Board of Trustees, H. Carl McCall, when Chancellor Kristina M. Johnson and a group of SUNY college and university presidents, including our own President Nader, gathered to make a video honoring him.

The video begins with Chancellor Johnson describing Chairman McCall as being in the right place at the right time,”for the long haul.” Presidents from around SUNY described him as “student-centered,” “advocate,” “awe-inspiring,” “sincere,” “amazing,” “visionary,” “inspirational,” and a “champion for public education.”

Chairman McCall was appointed head of the Board of Trustees in 2011, after serving four years on the board.
