Visual Communications Professor Thomas Germano will present a mixed-media lecture that contextualizes the Heckscher Museum of Art’s exhibition, In A New Light: American Impressionism 1870-1940, Works From The Bank of America Collection. The exhibition explores how French Impressionism transformed American landscape painting from its roots in the Hudson River School to its modernist expression in the early years of the 20th century.

Admission is free for members, and $5 for non-members. Advance registration is required.
