Former FSC Professor Wins Journalism Award

Dr. Daniel Scott Marrone

Dr. Daniel Scott Marrone, SUNY Distinguished Service Professor who retired from FSC’s School of Business four years ago, has received UUP’s “Best of the Best Communications Award.” His articles have appeared in UUP Active Retiree and UUP Farmingdale Unifier.

Dr. Marrone is an accomplished author/journalist, having published more than 50 biographies and 20 magazine and newspaper articles. He is a writer for, and contributing editor of, American Spirit: Magazine of the National Daughters of the American Revolution, which is distributed monthly to 300,000 members of DAR. One of his books, New York Heroes: Herkimer, Lincoln, TR, and La Guardia, has been named an “eBook for Kindle Bestseller” by Google.
