Work with Minors? Attend Child Protection Training and Policy Sessions

Child Protection training is an important component to ensuring the well-being of the young people who visit FSC. Those who work with minors ages seventeen and under are required to participate in a mandatory review of the Farmingdale State College Child Protection Policies.

In addition, if you have not received comprehensive Child Protection training, you are encouraged to participate in an extended training, “Darkness to Light.” This training uses evidence-based research to inform about child sexual abuse.

This is the schedule of upcoming sessions:

  • Wednesday, 6/13, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.    Whitman 150     Review of Child Protection Policies and “Darkness to Light
  • Thursday, 6/14, 11 a.m. – noon          Whitman 150      Review of Child Protection Policies

Please circulate this information to those who work with minors ages seventeen and under at FSC.
