“Redefining Forms: Paintings & Drawings by Francis Klaess,” is an exhibit by Francis Klaess ’79, adjunct instructor, visual communications department.

Klaess is a mixed-media artist working in ink, paint, collage, pigment powder, graphite, paper, canvas, or any other medium available. The subject matter of his work is usually an abstraction of the natural world, but he also moves into the realm of the non-objective. Inspiration comes from the Atlantic Ocean, the mountains of upstate New York, and other forms of nature. His latest work is a reaction to current events within the non-stop social and political climates.

Klaess is the creative director at Formula4 Media, LLC, a publishing and trade show company based on Long Island.
