Retired FSC Professor Named to Editorial Staff at American Spirit Magazine

Dr. Daniel S. Marrone

Dr. Daniel S. Marrone, SUNY Distinguished Service Professor and retired member of the business management faculty, as been named contributing editor of American Spirit, Magazine of the National Daughters of the American Revolution.

Dr. Marrone has published 10 articles in American Spirit, the most recent being about Elizabeth Annesley Lewis, wife of Francis Lewis, one of the four New York signers of the Declaration of Independence. Mrs. Lewis was captured by the British after American patriots were defeated at the Battle of Long Island, in 1777. She was imprisoned for three months in a ship in Wallabout Bay, a location that subsequently became the Brooklyn Navy Yard.
