The New York State Energy Research and
Development Authority has recognized FSC as an
“Achiever Member” in its competition known as the REV Campus Challenge.

The competition promotes clean energy efforts by recognizing and supporting colleges and universities in New York State that implement clean energy projects and principles on campus, in the classroom, and in surrounding communities.

REV Campus Challenge members include two- and four-year, public and private institutions from all regions of New York State.

Thirty-nine FSC student athletes have won a spot on Fall 2017
Academic Honor Roll of the Skyline Conference. Honorees must maintain at least a 3.3 GPA while playing their sport.

Teams represented in the Conference rankings include Men’s Cross Country, Golf, Men’s Soccer, Women’s Cross Country, Women’s Soccer, Women’s Tennis and Women’s Volleyball.

Nineteen male athletes and 20 female athletes took home the gold.

The Farmingdale State women’s basketball team recorded an 81-39 home victory over Yeshiva University in a Skyline Conference game this past Sunday, but there was other news that made the victory even sweeter: Head Coach Chris Mooney, now in his 18th season at FSC, earned his 300th career win. Coach Mooney now holds an all-time record of 300-174.

Since the Rams became official members of the Skyline Conference in 2003, Coach Mooney has led the women to the conference finals in 11-of-14 seasons.

RAM shuttle bus

The RAM Shuttle is back on the road,  and will be offering free rides to students, faculty, staff and alumni, Monday through Friday, throughout the spring semester.

The shuttle picks up riders in front of Laffin Hall, for stops at the LIRR station in the Village of Farmingdale and the Aviation Center. The shuttle also picks up members of the FSC community at the LIRR station and brings them to campus and the Aviation Center.

FSC Athletic Director Tom Azzara

Coming Thursday, 2/1, FSC Athletic Director for Compliance and Operations Tom Azzara will be the first interview guest of the new semester on RAM Nation Radio’s “Around the Dale” show.  “Around the Dale” – which also features announcements of campus events – airs every Thursday beginning at 11:10 a.m.
