Farmingdale has won SUNY’s Diversity, Inclusion and Social Justice Award, in the award’s inaugural year.

Said SUNY: “This honor is to recognize the outstanding contributions made by our institutions and individuals in advancing diversity, inclusion and social justice through innovate programming, research, teaching, and service.”

Farmingdale was selected for demonstrating “an extraordinary commitment to enhancing diversity, inclusion and social justice throughout their institution and the University.”

Said Dr. Veronica Henry, Chief Diversity Officer/Title IX Coordinator, “This is a milestone achievement for Farmingdale State College in receiving the first Institutional Diversity, Inclusion and Social Justice Award from SUNY Office of Diversity, Equity and  Inclusion (ODEI). We are very proud of this important recognition and join in the celebration of ODEI’s tenth anniversary.  FSC will continue to move the dial forward in diversity and inclusive excellence. Thanks to President Nader and everyone for making this award possible.”

FSC ranks fourth among 31 SUNY institutions that offer a baccalaureate degree, in the percentage of its minority undergraduate student population.
