BSTC Says “It Shoulda Been You”

It’s the end of the season for the Backstage Theatre
Company, and their final production is It Shoulda Been You, a new musical comedy about a wedding that goes horribly awry when families of the bride and groom tangle – and the ex-boyfriend of the bride crashes the ceremony.

It Shoulda Been You is a delightfully funny and refreshing new musical comedy that everyone can relate to on some level,” says Jennifer Covè, BSTC’s new musical director. “And it’s been exactly like that working with this cast –  delightful, funny and refreshing.”

Says BSTC’s Ryan Madden, the show was chosen for it’s high hilarity quotient and memorable musical numbers. “The musical stood out mostly for its inspiring message of self-discovery, confidence and acceptance.”

Book and lyrics are by Brian Hargrove, with music and concept by Barbara Anselmi.

The show’s poster was created by a student in Professor Phil Simone’s design class, from photos taken by students in Professor David Guarino’s photography class. Look here to see all the posters created for the show: It Shoulda Been You Posters

The show runs Thursday – Saturday, 11/30 – 12/2. The curtain goes up at 8 p.m. The show is free to FSC students with a valid and updated photo ID. General admission tickets are priced at $10, and may be purchased online.
