Donate Food to Island Harvest – and Save Money

Library late fees piling up? Here’s how to reduce them and do a good deed.

Bring pre-packaged, unopened food in cans, boxes or plastic jars to the library Circulation Desk for a late-fee reduction of $2 per each item donated. Please do not bring glass containers, perishables, or damaged or expired goods. All donations will go to Island Harvest, the Long Island food bank.

Fine waivers will be applied to late fees only, not for lost or damaged library materials. Limits apply, so check the policy at Greenley. Don’t owe anything? Donate anyway.
