FSC Partners with International Software Company

FSC’s computer systems department has
joined forces with Infor, an international 
enterprise resource planning software company, which will mean advanced training for our students and better jobs after graduation.
Infor specializes in business applications for organizations delivered via cloud computing. Infor is providing its Cloud Suite Industrial suite of software applications to be used in Dr. Jill O’Sullivan’s classes, providing students with the latest skill sets to differentiate themselves as they graduate and enter the workplace. The partnership is crucial to bridging the gap between academia and industry, with the intent to meet the needs of industry with skilled students ready to contribute the first day on the job. Infor’s Education Alliance Program brings application development and integration to the campus by combining an innovative lab and learning environment.
Infor’s Education Alliance Program (EAP) team has been collaborating with Dr. O’Sullivan to integrate proven industry-specific software and innovative Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions into development and learning projects in the classroom. These projects will support skill development for those in majors such as: Computer Systems, Business, Software Technology and Engineering Technology. The goal is to create a pipeline for students to be admitted to the Infor Scholar internship program as well as to the Leaders of the Education Alliance Program (LEAP) Associate post-graduate and employment opportunities.
Students will use applications such as Infor Mongoose to build applications and learn to implement systems such as Cloudsuite industrial.
