Alumni, Faculty Present at Psychology Conference

Three recent graduates from the Applied Psychology program presented their research at the 29th Annual Convention of the Association for Psychological Science, in Boston last month. Five psychology department faculty – Drs. Marya Howell-Carter, Jennifer Gonder, Sayeed Islam, Marla Johnston and Michaela Porubanova – and two alumni – David Brocker and Haaziq Walker – also attended or presented research.

New alumni presenters were:

  • Dana Gerasimovich: “Flashbulb Memories for the 2016 Presidential Election”
  • Maria Guaqueta: “Adult Children of Divorce: The Unexpected Relationship of Parental Over-protection with Self-Esteem and Attachment Style”
  • Kristine Lycke: “Iconic Memory for Emotional Scenes”
