FSC Awarded $10,000 Energy Grant

Professor  Marjaneh Issapour, director of the
RESC, and  Instructional Support Specialist
(RESC) Kivman Lee, have been awarded an Innovative Instruction Technology Grant of $10,000 for their renewable energy project. IITG is awarded for projects that demonstrate, communicate and replicate innovations that pair technology and pedagogy developed across SUNY.

The purpose of the project – “Use of the Renewable Energy Lab (Lucas-Nuelle) Simulations of Renewable Energy Generation to Foster Student Learning in the Energy, Sustainability and Environment  Class (ENV101)” –  is to develop laboratory experiments using a specialized Renewable Energy Simulator as an applied-learning component in an introductory course on Energy and Environment.  Initially, these experiments will be integrated as a demonstration or hands on component of this course.
