2017 STEM Diversity Summit This Friday

Friday, March 17, 8 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.   Roosevelt Hall

This Friday Farmingdale State College will celebrate and host the Seventh Annual STEM Diversity Summit.  This year’s theme is “Broadening the STEM/STEAM Education Pipeline and Workforce.”  You are invited to join in this movement. The urgency to act together is greater than ever.

The STEM Diversity Summit, in alliance with New York State STEP Programs, connects K-12, higher education, business, and industry to explore innovative ways to strengthen STEM teaching and learning in the 21st century, in order to meet the pressing demands of the workforce.

Best practices and research exhibits in STEM, by public school students in Grades 6-12, will be featured, as well as presentations on sustainable energy technologies and biotechnologies by national, regional, and local businesses.

For more information, contact veronica.henry@farmingdale.edu or stem@farmingdale.edu, or call 631-420-2622.
