WOW! from Island Harvest

Island Harvest is the grateful recipient of a hugely successful food and donation drive which collected more than 1/2 ton of food (1,027 lbs) and more than three hundred dollars in donations to help fellow Long Islanders.

Initiated by Phil Sigma Sigma, the drive became a Greek Council project which was joined by WHO (We Help Others).  The drive took two days.

Lindsy Oberman, programming chair of the Greek Council:  “It was an honor for Greek life to host an event that created so much joy, and gave back to the community.  Eight hundred and fifty-six meals were created from what we donated.  That’s amazing.”

According to WHO advisor Barbara Blair-Reade, “The response from Island Harvest staff when they saw the truck packed with food was an “Eye-pop-jaw-drop” WOW!!!”
